An Invitation from Intercard
Werremeyer Creative has enjoyed every minute of our partnership with the amusement industry’s leaders in debit card technology, St. Louis’ own Intercard, Inc. From designing business cards to entire trade show kiosks, no project has been too small or too much of a challenge for us to tackle.
When Intercard came to us about creating a name and brand for their new online party-planning and reservation system, we seized the opportunity by creating a slew of potential monikers for their exciting new product. Thus, “Shindigger” was born, and so was the amusement and family entertainment center (FEC) industries’ most easy-to-use and affordable tool for reserving, planning, and managing a party or event.
A shindig is a party. Shindigger is how you plan a party. It’s that simple.
The Shindigger brand was designed to be as fun as the celebrations its customers use it to plan. Using confetti-like bursts of primary colors, the Shindigger brand evokes childhood birthday celebrations with accents of tech-inspired elegance. After developing the Shindigger brand identity, we began to expand upon its basic elements with dynamic marketing materials and event design.
In collaboration with the Intercard team, we’ve helped plan a brand launch for Shindigger as part of the annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo in Orlando, FL this month. This trade show event allows for many of the amusement industry’s major players to first experience the world’s most user-friendly party-planning program firsthand. We’ve also developed attractive trade publication ads for Shindigger, targeting FECs all over the world.
Bringing Shindigger to the Web
When we came aboard to brand Intercard’s new product, their team of software engineers were already underway with building a robust framework for Shindigger. We helped them develop an efficient user interface (UI) as well as an informative microsite designed to market the system’s intuitive ease of use and affordability.
With FECs offering a variety of packages, times, and add-ons, booking a party for a birthday or company event can be a convoluted task. Our goal in designing Shindigger’s UI was to simplify the party-planning process as much as possible. Unlike the competition, Shindigger asks a few basic questions then serves up the best options based on the customer’s responses. Customers simply select the desired location, date, time, and guest number for their event, and Shindigger will display what’s available, making it quick and easy for customers to book the party they want. Shindigger also blends seamlessly within any FEC website, eliminating the need for Intercard’s clients to lead their customers through a maze of external links.
