Editor-In-Chief

Anne Makeever

After earning a bachelor’s degree in American literature from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in poetry from Washington University, Anne built a career as writer and magazine editor, with an emphasis on creating exceptional content in the health and wellness space. Prior to joining our team, Anne spent more than five years as an Editor for Barnes Jewish Hospital. While there, she was responsible for the quality and timeliness of all Barnes’ periodical content, web content, managed targeted marketing campaigns, created strategic C-suite and donor communications. With Werremeyer, Anne is editor-in-chief of Curiosus, a consumer magazine that explores the art and science of medicine and is produced by Werremeyer for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University Physicians. Anne also writes blog stories for clients and helps ensure the effectiveness of client marketing messages for print and digital platforms.

Magazines allow us to connect with new ideas and smart people. Working on Curiosus, a magazine about science and medicine, is especially satisfying because its stories actually help make lives better.
