After the sellout success of 2015’s first Annual Meeting, Werremeyer was asked to once again help design, coordinate, and market the Bi-State Development (BSD) flagship event in 2016. For this second Annual Meeting, we worked across disciplines with various BSD departments and two different video production companies to create a wealth of branding materials for the wildly successful event.
The 2016 Annual Meeting was attended by more than 700 government officials, business leaders, and key regional figures. It included speaking appearances by St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, and keynote speaker Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. We enjoyed contributing to an event so influential to the promotion of the St. Louis region.
Our preparation began with creating a vibrant brand image based on the event’s “Elevate” theme. The brand’s aesthetic, which evoked vertical “elevation” movement, was also incorporated into the event’s program and numerous videos featured throughout the occasion.
Throughout the process, we worked with BSD and the talented Once Films team to create a feature video for the event. The video boasted the achievements and regional impact of BSD’s five enterprises: Gateway Arch Riverfront, Metro transit, St. Louis Downtown Airport, St. Louis Regional Freightway, and Bi-State Development Research Institute.
Two additional video components consisting of a multi-faceted ambient video for the main stage and a series of video infographics for each of the seven counties that BSD serves brought the event’s brand to life.
From conceptualization of the event’s layout to finalizing the copy and design of multiple informational videos, we were delighted to collaborate with so many talented individuals and an organization as dynamic and driven as Bi-State Development. We are excited to have already begun planning next year’s Annual Meeting set for October 6, 2017!
