“We Know JCMO”: Turning a Brand Platform Into a Campaign the Community Could See, Hear, and Call
BRAND ACTIVATION | MESSAGING | IDENTITY SYSTEM
“We Know JCMO” is the market-facing expression of Jefferson City Medical Group’s (JCMG) refreshed brand: a campaign built to carry the story of physician-owned, locally rooted care out of the brand guide and into daily life across mid-Missouri, from morning commutes to evening drive-time radio to the phones ringing at JCMG’s front desks.
CHALLENGE
JCMG had already done the harder work: unifying its service lines under one strong, cohesive brand story. The next test was whether that story could move people: not just look good in a brand guide, but generate real calls, real clicks, and real appointments in a market where regional hospital systems spend heavily to stay top of mind.
The campaign needed to work at street level, not just on screens. Jefferson City is a community where people notice a familiar face on their commute and trust a neighbor’s recommendation more than a national ad campaign. “We Know JCMO” had to feel like it came from inside the community, not from a marketing department outside it.
OUR APPROACH
Werremeyer built “We Know JCMO” as an omnichannel campaign layered across paid social, video, digital audio, and local out-of-home, with each channel reinforcing the same idea: JCMG’s physicians live here, work here, and know this community by name.
Real people first, physicians close behind
“We Know JCMO” launched with Anthem TV spots built entirely around real people from the Jefferson City community; neighbors, not actors, and not physicians. That choice set the tone for the whole campaign before a single doctor ever appeared on screen: this was a message that came from the community, about the community, independent of any one service line. It let JCMG earn trust on the strength of place and people first, rather than opening with a pitch about a specific specialty or service.
Physicians as the proof point
Physicians followed close behind and were not the campaign’s opening statement, but its supporting evidence. As “We Know JCMO” moved into Service Line spots, JCMG’s own physicians stepped into the creative to connect the trust the Anthem spots had built to specific specialties and care. Rather than cast actors, those spots used the same doctors patients see in the exam room. That decision mattered: in a community that already trusts its independent physicians, seeing a familiar, recognizable doctor builds confidence in a way a polished stock photo never could. Together, the two waves reinforced the same promise, this isn’t a health system that recently arrived in Jefferson City. This is the medical group that has always been here, made up of local talent, hometown doctors, and neighbors patients already know.
On the road, in the community
The campaign extended beyond screens and speakers with a fully wrapped JCMG transit bus carrying the “We Know JCMO.” creative and physician photography into daily rotation across Jefferson City.
The wrap turned a routine city bus into a moving billboard for local, physician-led care and a visible, everyday reminder that JCMG’s doctors are part of the same community riding the same streets. JCMG marked the launch with a community ribbon-cutting event, bringing physicians, staff, and city leaders together around the bus itself, extending the campaign’s local-talent, community-first approach beyond media placements and into a shared moment for the organization.
Digital that follows the conversation
On Meta and YouTube, the same physician-led creative was cut into short, high-impact video and photography formats designed to earn attention in a crowded feed and drive a specific action: a call or a click to schedule care. Every placement was layered with call and click tracking so Werremeyer could see the campaign driving real phone calls and website visits, not just impressions.
Reaching ears across the region
A complementary digital audio campaign carried “We Know JCMO” and companion spots like “Knowing You Well” into daily listening habits across mid-Missouri, reinforcing the same message during commutes and everyday moments away from a screen.
THE RESULTS
Within the first few months, the Meta and YouTube campaign was generating real, trackable demand for JCMG:
Phone calls placed directly from ads in July were up the most of any month in 2026, up 29.3% from June
Clicks to JCMG’s website, up 7.5% month-over-month and the highest total since the previous summer
Phone call volume has climbed every month since the first month, six straight months of growth
Momentum carried into the following month. The campaign had produced over 75 phone calls and 11,500 website clicks, pacing right alongside the previous month. That kind of month-over-month growth, not a short-lived spike, is what shows “We Know JCMO” is steadily building demand across the community.
Digital audio added a complementary layer of reach: attributing over 1,000 direct visits a month to JCMG’s website from audio-exposed listener. The “We Know JCMO” audio spot itself drove the highest rate of website visits of any creative version in the campaign, a sign the message performed even against its own strongest-performing peers.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Calls are climbing
Phone calls from ads hit a new high, up sharply from the prior month, and the campaign is pacing to keep that momentum going.
Website traffic is moving with it
Clicks to JCMG’s website rose alongside calls, up 7.5%, showing engagement is growing across the board, not just on one channel.
The growth is sustained
Phone calls have climbed every month since campaign launch, with clicks and website visits rising right alongside them. That’s a campaign building real, lasting demand, not a short-term bump.
THE OUTCOME
“We Know JCMO” gave JCMG a campaign that matched the strength of its brand: physician-led, locally rooted, and built on faces the community already trusts. By putting real doctors and real local presence at the center of the creative, on screens, over the airwaves, and on the side of a city bus, the campaign turned JCMG’s independence and community roots into a measurable driver of new patient calls and clicks.
When you’re competing with large regional systems, it’s easy to feel like you have to look bigger than you are. Werremeyer showed us the opposite. Our strength is that we’re independent, physician-owned, and part of this community. They helped us unify a brand that had fragmented over the years and gave us a campaign platform we can keep building on. Working with them felt like working with an extension of our own team.
