The Project
Positioning Saint Louis University School of Medicine as thought leaders via their alumni publication
Here’s where expertise makes all the difference. Werremeyer’s significant healthcare experience was applied to a unique brainstorming challenge: could we create a single-focus thematic experience that could be used not just for development purposes, but leveraged for faculty recruitment and by various stakeholders, including conference attendees, current and prospective students, and others? A hardworking tool with broad yet specific appeal, intended to reinforce the Saint Louis University brand, drive donors to action, and position SLU School of Medicine as a thought leader in healthcare? Spoiler alert: we could. And so we did.

Renewed style and uncommon substance
The resultant publication, Grand Rounds, was a new approach to physician-alumni magazines. We began by refining and elevating the look; the fresh new aesthetic approach turned heads and garnered numerous design awards. The high-quality, engaging content is a testament to the network of partners we assembled to execute the publication. Through exceptional design and well-researched, well-crafted thought-leader content, Grand Rounds was able to connect through renewed style and uncommon substance.
More bang for your buck, basically
Perhaps best of all, Grand Rounds is available for use in print and full-scale digital use, as well as modified digital use for e-newsletters and social media, which allows the SLU School of Medicine development team to garner interest in specific thematic storylines and a significant return on investment. Who doesn’t love that?
