A Catalyst for Innovation, Collaboration and Progress
Bi-State Development (BSD) is a multi-faceted resource for economic development in the St. Louis region. The organization’s influence and efforts to grow the region’s economy can be recognized across its five enterprises — the Gateway Arch Riverfront, Metro Transit, St. Louis Downtown Airport, the St. Louis Regional Freightway, and Bi-State Development Research Institute.
In 2015, Werremeyer Creative was chosen to rebrand Metro Transit as Bi-State Development. Beginning with the brand platform, logo, and identity, we assisted in transforming the company known for transportation into an organization for regional economic development. We partnered closely with their in-house marketing team to create materials including a website, interior signage, graphics, and promotions to quarterback the organization’s rebirth within the region.
During the branding and relaunching of BSD, we created a robust website and built BiStateDev.org using WordPress to provide the client with an easily manageable and navigable source for updating their site whenever they need. We have continued to add additional landing pages and special sections to the site.
Each year, our marketing strategy of BSD has grown. During the third Annual Meeting that we oversaw, BSD embraced our approach of developing richer and more content to tell the story of Bi-State Development's impact on the St. Louis Region. In 2017, we launched a new marketing campaign, Catalyst. This campaign added a magazine which we developed all content, documentary style film, presentations, print ads and a new presence for storytelling on their existing website.
